Offline address book not updating automatically

It's happening to all our Outlook users and i'd like to know how to solve it without coming up with a script that will delete the file automatically for them.

This morning I was asked to update the Global Address List and Offline Address Book in an Exchange environment.

You could wait for Exchange to do it automatically (the default schedule is once a day) but what when you want to force the update to take place right now?

We're using Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2010 SP3 RU18 and we have an issue with all our Outlook users: We're using Outlook in a Cache Mode (we'd like to keep it that way) and it seems that the All Users offline address book will not update itself automatically, even if you close and re-open Outlook.

This is some times required in case your OAB generation/download is not properly working.

There are two methods available in server side to generate new Offline Address Book 1.

During this process all new email addresses are added to the Global Address List ready for when the clients next connect and refresh their copy of the address book.

This delay between an email account being create and being listed can cause organisational issue, like a users being unable to find the email address for a new staff member.

To resolve this you have two option, manually update the Address Book or customize the update schedule.
