Dating stiffel lamps

This traditional table lamp comes from the renowned Stiffel Lamp Company, founded in 1932 in Chicago.

To date, every item from Stiffel is proudly made in their Linden, NJ facility.

The strands were a bit tangled from shipping but it wasn't much trouble to straighten them out. Amazon wanted me to pack up and return the entire lamp and wait for a replacement.

Seemed a bit silly to me, so I contacted Artiva ...

Not to mention that Stiffel lamps are hard to come by these days, making them sort of a “collector’s item”. They will be impossible to find if it needs a new glass shade.

Fabric shades can always be custom ordered at lamp shade sites. and are quite different from the Stiffel that we know.

This design features an urn-style base in a lush burnished brass finish, and a pearl supreme satin bell shade to soften the glow of the light. A., this is an elegant addition to any traditional living space.

Because it has 3 legs, it can be knocked over easily by a child or pet. The measurements on the description are accurate ... Love the look of the lamp and other lamps that look this nice are much more expensive. I was scared by the bad reviews but I'm glad I went with my conscience. I would call it more an area light than a room light.

I thought it was over for my Stiffel lamp when I tipped it over and its reflector shade shattered. It was damaged in shipping and had to be sent back.
